Thanks to allergies and all around family business, it seems that I have dropped off of the bloggy map. I'm still here!!! Haven't been working on projects lately, but have been just as busy as if I had. Been helping Jen with the twins, dealing with some horrific allergies, and some family issues, and doing alot with our church.
My grandmother has a rare type of cancer and it has gotten quite a bit worse, been praying and trying to visit her a little more. She's been such a huge part of my life, and I'm going to keep praying and praying that she will get to be part of my children's lives as well someday.
The twins are doing good, 3 months old now. Still a handful. Still adorable. Since they live right down the road I like to try to visit at least once or twice a week.
Our church youth group has been working on some fundraisers to send on of the kids to Honduras on a mission trip. Our last fundraiser was last weekend an it was entitled "Family Date Night". We had a free will offering spaghetti dinner and had games set up inside and outside, with prizes and everything. The kids really enjoyed it and we were able to make about $500. Coming from a youth group of 3 kids and a church membership of less than 100, I'd say we did VERY well.
My allergies have been killing me, so I've spent the last few weeks in a Claritin, Dayquil, Nyquil haze. FINALLY starting to come out of it and see the light at the end of my seasonal allergy tunnel. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway. :-)
Last but not least, I've undergone a new endeavor this week. A lady who's husband works with my hubby invited me to a pampering session. After a great time and a little debate, she gave me the courage to step up and head on the road to becoming a consultant. I've been praying that a job would come along where I could work when I wanted to, and didn't have to give up all my church activities; something that wouldn't get in the way when I have children. This may just be the ticket. I'm super excited to begin this journey and I'll see where it leads me.
Hope everyone is doing well. Like I said, I'm still here...and I may have some craftiness up my sleeve when I become a little less busy. Until then, Happy Blogging!
